How to Make Outside of Slideshow Grid Different Color - Dawn Theme

The right and left side of my Slideshow is white when I choose grid view.  Can anyone point me as to how to change that color?

Others do not know what you know, always provide context so others can inspect and reproduce issues:
Store url, storefront password if any, theme name, are any apps involved, etc

it is pretty basic.  sides of slideshow when you click grid instead of full screen ad how to change the color.   if you don't want to think then please don't comment on my threads as they take thought not sarcasm.

in Custom CSS of the slideshow:

slideshow-component {
background-color: black;
}
{
background-color: black;
}

replace black with whatever color you like
