All things Shopify and commerce
Hey there, we're migrating our online shop from Shopware to Shopify and I'm just trying to import the products. When I export our products in Shopware, the image links appear in the csv like this: "www.decent.store/image_1.jpg|www.decent.store/image_2.jpg|www.decent.store/image_3.jpg"
The Shopify import can't handle the "|" seperator between the links. Can I simply replace them with another symbol in Excel and Shopify can import them? Or can Shopify just import one image per product via CSV? Thank you! Best, Jannick
Hi @decentstore,
To create a product with multiple images, you just need to add one line and enter three fields:
Handle: Specifies the product to which the image is uploaded.
Image Src: Specifies the image source.
Image Position: Specifies the position of the image in products (count from 1).
You can refer to the *.csv file I sent in the attachment to better understand.
Hope this helps.
Hi @decentstore ,
This is Theodore from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.
Shopware export uses "|" to separate multiple image URLs, which Shopify CSV import can't handle. Here's how to import:
Replace "|" with "," (comma): Use "Find and Replace" in your spreadsheet software to change all "|" to ",". Shopify accepts commas to separate multiple image URLs.
Upload images to Shopify and update CSV:
