How to offer quantity discount with a fixed price?

Hi there,

I would like to use a Shopify quantity discount but fix the price. For example, everything on site is 3 for $30 where customers can add products to cart as is but the price is updated for $30 and there is a max quantity of 3. Is there to do this without an app? The reason I want to do this without an app is because I have other integrations on my site (quiz recommendations) that would be impacted by a 'bundle' type app.

This does sound like bundling so it would be hard to do it without an app like that.

The closest thing I can imagine is a Buy X get Y discount where the minimum order is $30 or 3 items and you can discount some of the items for free/percentage.
I don't know what your average item price is, but you can play around with the percents until it comes out to about $30 for 3.

My app is a bundle app and I remember that one of my previous users is doing so. 

You probably need to set up a custom page for this product. Add a "bundle area" to store the items selected by the customer.

When the conditions are met, use cart ajax to add all items to the cart at once. Also, apply a discount to adjust the price. If your products are all of the same prices, you can preset a discount to do so. Finally, change cart.liquid to avoid the customers removing one of the items. So the bundle discount will not be misused.
