How to omit products when VARIANT is not available when filtering in Search & Discovery?

We sell a variaty of baby products and usually people filter them by size and gender. When filtering with Search & Discovery, I'd like to show results of available variants only, but today the app shows every product that contains that variable even when they are not available in a specific size/gender/color/style.

I.e.: a certain clothing piece has 4 sizes (NB, S, M, L). The user filters NB to see what options we offer for newborn babies. The S&D app shows every product that contains a NB variant, but some of them will be out of stock. I'd like to hide the products when the variant selected in the filter is not available.

Any idea how to address this issue?

Hi @Luciana 👋 Shopifys free search and discovery app should have an option to not show out of stock products at all.

Or you should be able to use availability as a facet, otherwise possibly with a customization to append it to the url: ?filter.v.availability=1

Plenty of other topics on the matter found through search

If you mean products are showing that have some variants out of stock and you want to hide some variant-options from showing on things like product-cards in product grids that's an advanced theme customization.

Good Hunting.
