How to pull inventory from a different location when one is out?

We have separate inventory for online sales and for physical locations. If online inventory runs out, we'd like it to be able to pull from the inventory in the physical stores - is there a way to do that?

What kind of logic do you have in mind around triggering a transfer from physical to online?
