How to remove same billing as shipping address on checkout page

Hi Community

How can I remove the tick box on the checkout page that says same billing as shipping address? Our store sells mostly gifts but people are ticking this box a lot of the times (I guess to make it quicker for themselves) and then it is messing up our contact data as it has the details of the person they are sending the gift to as their own address.

store is www.kula-giving.ch. We don't have Shopify plus.

Since you're not on Shopify Plus, you can't directly edit the checkout page code, but you can try these workarounds:

1. Modify Checkout Language – Go to Settings > Languages, search for "Same as shipping address," and change the text to something like "Use recipient's address (not your own)" to make it clearer.
2. Add a Custom Note – In Settings > Checkout, add a note under "Additional Scripts" (if available) to warn customers before they check out.
3. Use an App – Some apps like Checkout Customization (if supported for non-Plus stores) might help hide or modify this field.

If Shopify ever expands checkout customization for lower-tier plans, that would be the ideal solution!
