How to remove the prechecked Remember Me button

I am referring to the prechecked button that reads, "Save my information for a faster checkout with a Shop Account".  
In Canada, under CASL you are not allowed to have a prechecked button for consumer consent for a newsletter.  I feel this button is treading very closely to the same type of issue.  Maybe even worse as it is storing private information for a Shopping platform. 
How can we make it so this button is not prechecked?

Hello @NoName30  You can disable this by default by navigating to the Shopify admin dashboard: Settings > Checkout > Scroll down and uncheck 'Marketing options'. I've attached a screenshot below for reference.

Based on my knowledge and research, it's currently not possible to modify or remove this feature. To make changes to the checkout page, you would need to upgrade to the Shopify Plus plan. However, I don't recommend this option as it's designed for large businesses and costs $2,000 per month.

I need to do this for my shop (for the same legal reasons) and I do have shopify Plus.  How do I accomplish this?
