How to remove the white shade from product pictures in turbo theme sandbox

hello,

All our product pictures have this transparent white shade that "frames" the image on both sides. I would like to remove this, as at times it cuts over items. Any ideas how?

Step 1: Online Stores > Themes > More Actions > Edit code

Step 2: click on theme.liquid and paste the code above the </head>
