Hi there,
I'm setting up a shop and while all items are available for pickup and I've set that up correctly, I'm wondering for larger items that we DON'T want to ship > how to disable the shipping option when you check out?
Hi @oliviawa, you can follow my steps:
Step 1: Create a Custom Shipping Profile for Large Items
Settings > Shipping and Delivery > New profile: products (add your products that you don't want to ship) + shipping zones (create a shipping zone but do not add any shipping rates. This will disable the shipping option for products in this profile)
Step 2: Enable Local Pickup
Settings > Locations > Ensure you have set up your locations where customers can pick up their orders > Go back to Shipping and Delivery > Local delivery > Configure the settings for each location where you offer pickup.
Besides that, I also suggest that you attach a label to indicate in-store pickup, so that customers can be certain that your store only offers in-person purchases, reducing any confusion. You may consider using our Fordeer Product Labels & Badges app for this purpose.
