All things Shopify and commerce
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
I have one constantly making carts to the values of millions multiple times of day, every day.
It really messes up analytics and my abandoned cart rate etc.
The email is generally johnsmithstore.
It is driving me insane. Can anybody help?
Generally speaking, to prevent bots from attacking your store, you can enable the Enable Google reCAPTCHA feature. Here are the steps:
Go to your Shopify admin.
Navigate to Online Store > Preferences.
In the Spam protection section, enable Google reCAPTCHA.
However, if enabling reCAPTCHA doesn't help, you may want to consider installing a bot protection app from the Shopify App Store. There are several options available that can provide additional security measures against bot attacks.
Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to help further.
To stop the constant fake carts, consider using a bot filter app like Kedra Shield. It blocks bots by hiding your site’s content and preventing them from accessing your store. Or enabling vpn block also can help: https://apps.shopify.com/kedra-shield-website-security
