I have multiple size variants drawing from the same stock

Hi There, new here. I'm setting up my first Shopify store.

I have run into an issue.

For majority of my product listings I will be offering a design which for example will have x20 of a design in stock, then when a customer orders a size A, I will custom make this design in their size. This will take the total stock level down to x19.

Shopify doesn't allow this logic. When listing a product and available stock, I have to assign stock availability to each size, not to the main product as a whole.

Doesn't anyone know an app that will solve this issue?

I have looked through the app store and discussions for hours and cannot find one.

These are  stock sync apps and there are tons of them for different needs , based on sku, location,etc.

If you need custom inventory logic the general sync apps cannot do then use an automation like mesa or usemechanic it has some premade ones but can be scripted for custom scenarious.
