I just realized on my credit card that I've been charged by Shopify for 2 years now even though our store has been closed. I can't talk to Support since you can only communicate with them via the live chat. When I try to chat with them, the auto-response is that my store is closed and I have to reactivate it in order to contact support. See the irony? How can I contact someone to help me with my issue?

I understand that you're seeing a recurring charge from Shopify however, your store is closed. Have you tried using our Recovery Tool? By entering your email address in the Recovery Tool, the system will send you the name(s) of the store attached to the email address you entered. Another option is to log into your email address and use the search bar to filter Shopify or Shopify Billing to help narrow down the bill breakdown.
Lastly, you can try using this Help Center link to chat with a Support Advisor if you're unable to log into your store.
