I Need Solution to produce Mass Quantities of Gift Cards, Credit vouchers, Gift Certificates????

Call them what you want, but I am exploring an opportunity for my store to sponsor a charity event. As part of this opportunity, I will reward the event participants with a gift certificate, gift card, or store credit. A few thousand of these will be given away. ( Yes, I am being intentionally vague about the charity; I must at this point)
I am searching for a way to do this with as little manual input (Typing) as possible so you all can understand why.
The people at the event will have their information collected, and I will be able to verify that they are eligible to receive the gift. My thought is that they would be issued a code at the event or receive an email from the event coordinators with either a code that would allow them to get the Gift card or perhaps the email could send the gift card code (this is less secure) that have been previously created. 
I don't need to capture customer information, it would be nice, but not a requirement for what I am doing.  This event is something I support and have participated in for over 40 years, and I am now in a position to do more than join as an attendee. 
Any Ideas, App Suggestions, Work Arounds, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  
I am passionate about making this idea work, so please don't hold back.
