There are some items I have listed on our store that are available for pickup at our storefront only. I went to Settings and created a new shipping profile under "Shipping and Delivery," then purposely did not add shipping rates so that I could make the only option for delivery be "pick up" at checkout. I want to change the message that pops up when customers try to select the delivery option "ship." The message states "Shipping not available for selected address." I want to change it to something like "[Item name] is unavailable for shipping. Please select pickup." I tried going into Settings and into "Checkout" down to "Manage checkout language" to see if there was an option to change the specific message, but I couldn't find it. If someone could get back to me on how to change this, that would be great.
Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find your current theme and click on Actions > Edit languages.
In the "Search" bar within the language editor, type in the text you want to change. In this case, search for the message "Shipping not available for selected address."
Edit the Text: Once you've found the text you want to change, click on it, and you should be able to replace it with your custom message. For example, you can change it to {{ item.title }} is unavailable for shipping. Please select pickup.
After editing the text, make sure to click the "Save" button to save your changes
Hello @saad13 and @Greenthumb1953
I had the same problem and followed the instructions above to change the text regarding shipping not available to some addresses.
I replaced the default text and I would like to further edit it now, but I am not able to find the text anymore. The search with the text that I pasted there and that I see now on my website doesn't give me any result.
Any idea of how I could sort this?
If you want more details and show where in my website this happens, let me know.
With best
Andrea
