If available stock excedeed stop adding more to the cart how to

Hello,

I'd like to know how to prevent adding items when the available stock is exceeded, as it currently allows adding items beyond the available stock. 

I am using refresh theme

A theme may allow adding sold out quantities to the cart, but the shopify checkout should prevent any order from going through as long as tracking is setup properly.

It's an advanced theme customization to add logic to hide or change how quantity inputs behave, or carts to validate stock,  based on changing inventory.

When you add items to the cart, you have to hit shopify's cart api and they manage this. If you go to the checkout you should see a message there that there is an issue with the inventory.
