Important: Beware of Shopify Phishing Emails

Hello everyone,

This is an important update regarding a Shopify phishing email.

Today, I received an email that I carefully reviewed and confirmed is not officially from Shopify. It was a phishing email sent from a Gmail address.

Please note that if you receive an email from a Gmail address claiming to be from Shopify, it is likely a phishing attempt. Shopify does not send emails from public email services like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail. Legitimate emails from Shopify will come from official domains such as @Shopify.com, @Email.shopify.com, @Em.shopify.com, or @Shopify-billpay.melio.com.

If you suspect an email is a phishing attempt, do not click on any links or provide personal information. Instead, report the email to Shopify by forwarding it to phishing@shopify.com.
