Hello Shopify Community,
I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with Shopify's handling of my store's situation. My store has been inactive for over a week, and despite multiple tickets and escalations, I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. Below is a summary of my experience:
Timeline of Events:
Store Inactivity: My store became inactive over a week ago without any prior notification or explanation.
Document Submission: After three days, I received an email requesting proof, which I promptly submitted.
No Response: Despite submitting the required documents, I have not received any update or explanation for the continued inactivity of my store.
Conversation with Support:
The support agent was courteous and seemed willing to help, but unfortunately, their actions did not lead to any resolution. Here are some key points from our conversation:
The agent acknowledged my frustration and confirmed that the necessary documents were received.
Despite repeated assurances that my case was being prioritized, no concrete action has been taken to reactivate my store.
The agent mentioned that my case is in a queue, which is currently processing tickets from June 19 - July 1, despite my store being inactive for more than seven days.
Impact on My Business:
Financial Loss: My business is losing money every day due to the store being inactive. Marketing expenses and potential sales are going to waste.
Customer Trust: This delay is severely impacting my reputation and trust with my customers.
Unjustified Inactivity: I paid for my store in dollars and expect reliable service in return. Inactivating my store without a valid reason or prior notice is unacceptable.
Demand for Immediate Action:
Shopify's service and response time have been nothing short of pathetic. I demand immediate action to reactivate my store. This situation has caused significant financial loss and emotional distress, and the lack of transparency and urgency from Shopify is deeply disappointing.
Call for Accountability:
Shopify needs to review and reconsider its policies. Customers should not have to deal with such issues after paying for a service. The current system, which leaves businesses in the dark and inactive for extended periods, is flawed and unacceptable.
I urge Shopify to take immediate action to resolve this matter and prevent similar issues for other customers in the future. Compensation for the financial loss and inconvenience caused by this unnecessary delay should also be considered.

I'm sorry to hear that your business has been closed, I understand that this is not an ideal situation and that you are looking for some more information on what has happened. Our community team does not have access to merchant accounts or open tickets, so this isn't something we would have direct insight into. Our live support team through our Help Center would be the best point of contact for more information in this situation.
It is important to note that Shopify has the ability to remove a store from our platform at any time, for any reason, without warning. This is something that is laid out in our terms of service, which can be found here: Shopify Legal. While I do hope that you are able to have your business reinstated, there is a chance that this decision is final. Our team that handles these reviews is dealing with a large volume of tickets right now, which has delayed our responses. For that I am sorry. They are the only ones with any insight into this decision though and our standard support won't be able to assist further.

Your response is utterly unacceptable. Charging high fees while providing abysmal support is beyond infuriating. Thousands of unresolved tickets reflect a systemic failure, painting Shopify as a platform ridden with bugs and incompetence.
Your lackadaisical approach and vague references to "terms of service" are not reassuring. They reek of indifference and corporate deception. This isn't how a mature framework operates; it's how cheaters operate.
Your customers deserve transparency and competent service, not empty apologies and excuses. Fix your broken system or face the consequences of lost trust and reputation.
What illegal is going through my store, and why don't shopify check before payment of plan. Customers are paying high amount for this **bleep** service.
