All things Shopify and commerce
I signed up with the basic plan which charges $1 for the first month and $25 for the second and on. Near the end of first month I've been busy with some business, hence, being inactive on Shopify. I was oblivious of the fact that the second month had started and before I could deactivate my shopify store, I started receiving invoices which I do not want to pay as I haven't gotten any payouts from Shopify nor have I used it. And paying $25 for nothing doesn't make sense at all. So I request the shopify management to freeze/deactivate my Shopify store as it has been of no use to me in the past couple weeks. I would appreciate any attention towards my query!
Hello, I'm Abdulqudus. Regarding your post about you signing up with the basic plan which charges $1 for the first month and $25 for the second and on.
I would like to ask if you want a refund or you just want to freeze/deactivate your store since it has been of no use to you in the past couple weeks
I would just like to freeze my store, no refund is needed.
Hello, how are you doing?
Sorry for the late response. I would advise you not to deactivate your store because you might need to continue using your store later. What I will advice you to do is to just deactivate/remove your card from the store. with that, you won't be charge anymore.
How to do that. In the Payment Providers settings, you will find a list of available payment methods. Locate the card you wish to remove and click on the Manage button next to it. Within the card's settings, you will find the option to remove it.
If you don't think you were ready, could you perhaps explain why you opened a Shopify store?
I wanted to figure out what Shopify is about and wanted to give it a shot, never planning to fully establish something. And within the first month I've had figured out more than enough and became inactive. And this is why I want to just stop the incoming invoices.

I can't find any option to remove my card details
I suggest you replace the card with any card you aren't using or withdrawing to.
Won't due payments cause any trouble in the future? As there are much more details than just a card number.
Ohh, that's true.
Follow this process to deactivate your store.
But its not letting me do that. Because of the due payment, I haven't even used shopify in the second month and yet its asking me to pay!
Ohh, you'll need an active plan to do that.
So you're saying I got no other option other than to pay, and then deactivate my store?
Yes
