Integrating Shopify with KonaKart

I have an old website that needs updating for responsiveness. But the complication is that I do not have a traditional online store. I have a printing business. Also, the e-commerce platform that I use is called KonaKart. So I am wondering if anyone out there has any experience with linking a Shopify site to an e-commerce engine? How complicated would the integration be?

How can you help? Do you understand the problem? I want to use an easy-to-use design platform like Shopify to build a responsive site and integrate it with my existing e-commerce platform KonaKart. But I don't know how that would work.

I'm not very technical so please bear with me.

I want to use Shopify to build a new responsive website. But I need to
keep the KonaKart running for processing orders. My question to you is
this: Since the purchasing process would take place on the "front-end"
or the static Shopify pages and the "back-end" KonaKart commerce engine,
where would the site actually be hosted? Would there need to be
re-directs? How complicated a task would that be?
