I keep getting this error on our site:

we've checked all settings, everything's fine. we tried with default theme, the issue still persists, so its not a theme issue.
we have one location only for sale and are tracking quantity for everything.
Apps installed:

we are seeing this as well, as of today, in an existing store.  no changes from our side, items all in stock, can not checkout on mobile. Using empire theme 11.0.0  was working fine.  we have 3 other shopify stores, they are all working fine.  this store, no sales today, cant checkout, no matter what product.  all products have plenty of stock.  recently we noticed when you go to the site it asked if you are in new Zealand, as we sell globally, this is new, normally it defaults to where we are without asking

I am going to bump this and hope someone with @Shopify can chime in on this. We are a Shopify plus store and I have also been noticing this happen on our store as well and we have absolutely no idea why.

Today it happened to one of our staff when I was out of the office and it was fixed when they cleared their cache.

Have I helped? Consider putting coffee in my mouth!

After a bit of investigation, this looks like a bug in the latest shopify release. Below is some workaround

The issue occurs when these conditions are met:

  • New customer with no default address
  • You have shipping zones spliting a country , in our case we had different shipping zones for different states in Australia.

The temp fix (until shopify addresses issue) is:

  • Set atleast a country for any user. (Not ideal for new users registering).
  • Don't split zones ( This is not good either if you have different shipping cost based on state)

Hopefully someon in Shopify will pick this up soon.

Correction- you need a user with a country AND state

Hi! I'm facing this problem too, is there any solution yet?

We had to mark every item as available to sell even when out of stock,
which obviously isn’t ideal but there seems to be no other way around it.

I've talked with the "Help Support" 2 times, they don't know what's happening and think that everything seems fine.  WE need help over here, please.

We are also experiencing this issue. Can I ask to anyone else here with this issue, do you use Global e for markets?
