All things Shopify and commerce
Hello!
I've been trying to add inventory quantities to the products i have uploaded. I have about 6000+ products and wanted to import via CSV. However, i keep receiving this error message "Inventory management is 1, so fulfillment service must also be 1"
columns A-I, N-Q, S-V, X-AA have been filled in the upload template.
"so fulfillment service must also be 1"
Variant Fulfillment Service originally was "manual" but i changed it to "shopify" but still facing the same problem.
Yes I receive the same error message which does not make any sense to me.
I have only 45 products in my spreadsheet and everything is very organized.
Variant Inventory Tracker column is just full of cells that have just the number 1 in them and Variant Fulfillment Service column is manual.
what's the problem?

I encountered the same inventory management/fulfillment service error that you all did. I'm using the same template that has imported successfully for months. Were you all able to resolve the issue?
I found the solution to my issue. My excel has been giving me problems lately. I took my Excel that didn't work on upload (Validation failed: Inventory management is Shopify , so fulfillment service must also be Shopify) - and imported it into Google Sheets - Exported it - Uploaded it - 100%
I'm on Windows 7 with an older version of Excel.
Just did the SAME!!! My error message said:
-Inventory management is True, so fulfillment service must also be True
I just went in and deleted the whole columns that had false and true in them...and voila!
Thanks
Anyone find a solution to this?
actually, just figured it out. Don't use a 0 instead a blank field. Just leave the field blank
Hello, iam facing the same issue here with
"Inventory management is 2, so fulfillment service must also be 2"
Got the solution, make sure that you upload the quantity in Variant Inventory Quantity and not Variant Inventory Tracker. Once you fix it, the issue will be resolved.
Thanks me later. 😎
