Is it possible to add a product as a variant in another product?

Hi. Is it possible to add a product as a variant in another product?
Suppose we a shoe with three different colors (red, black and blue). But when we click on the red shoe variant it will open the red color shoe product.

So basically i want to add a product as a variant like this: https://outfitters.com.pk/products/f0014-101-903?variant=41170773639359

What you would need is this app: Product Colors - Link your products of different colors using swatches. | Shopify App Store

Where variants can be combined on one page but each are distinct and in other products. Let me know if I got your idea correctly here.

Does this also work for dropshipping?  I jabe a product but found another product that had another color. But it also have a different supplier. 

Can I combine those into one product and still have it automated ?

Hi @imarsaal,

In Shopify, variants can have their own prices and unique SKU / Barcode. So in a sense, these are separate products.  No worries.  If you wish to link a variant of a product and have its own standalone page, you can use the app - Simple Material

The app was intended to create inventory systems for raw materials but you can repurpose it so that it will make a variant into another product. The best thing with this is that it will treat the product inventory of the variant - product as one. So they will be synced.  I hope this helps.
