Is it possible to add my brand icon to emails?

I've noticed that Apple have joined Google in displaying a large icon on their mailbox for the brand logo of the sender. Not many companies are using this, I can see the likes of Amazon and Revolute have their logo to the left of the email subject and title in the inbox.

My question is it possible to send this with Shopify emails out of the box? I would love to add our brand logo to our emails for a little bit of a personal touch.

If you're talking about inside the email, you can add that in Shopify Settings > Notifications > choose the template to edit then add your icon. You would probably do something like this:

1. Upload your icon to your theme Files so it generates a publicly available url

2. Copy that url, then link to it in the notifications template, example: <img src="the asset url" style="max-height: 100px" />

If you're talking about the icon that shows in your inbox, of the sender, you can control this in the email software you use. For example, we use Google Suite with our business, and we add a profile image for our user name, which Google then includes to display as the sender icon (for email apps that support it).
