Is it possible to use gift card API in shopify Basic or Grow plan.

Hi All,

Can anyone clarify me for gift card API.  We are using Shopify Grow pan for our online store. So is it possible to use gift card API or not.. Because some doc mentioned we need use shopify plus plan for using gift card API. Please clarify me if anyone knows about it. Thanks in advance.

You’re right to check on this because Shopify has very clear restrictions around the Gift Card API.

If you’re on Shopify Grow (or any non-Plus plan), the Gift Card API is not accessible, even though gift cards as a product are available in your store for manual use.

Hi Aravinthemb,

Just to clarify. You don’t need the Gift Card API (which is only for Shopify Plus) to offer gift cards. Since you're on the Shopify Grow plan, you can still use apps to manage and sell gift cards easily.

A few good options:

• Rise.ai (https://apps.shopify.com/gift-card-loyalty-program)

• Gift Card Hero (https://apps.shopify.com/gift-card-hero)

• Govalo (https://apps.shopify.com/govalo)

These apps work great and don’t require Plus. Let me know if you need help setting one up!
