Is it safe to share my Business data to third party?

Recently my friend asked me if I will be willing to share my business data to them when they are going to make an application for the business owners to know the business progress. Their application is to provide the data analysis to online business owners to know their business trending, business low points and high points, and some business related functions. Once integrated their application in business you will get benefit and earn more revenue.   I am not sure if any of you has been using such similar applications, will it be worth to do so, assuming their application will be really beneficial.
