Is the new "Data sales opt-out" targeted page necessary if you don't sell data?

If my Shopify store does no targeted advertising and doesn't use tools like Google Analytics is there a reason to enable this option in the 5 states that require it? Or are there other ways Shopify stores share/sell data that are not as conspicuous?
