Is there a Shopify "Make Pretty & Reduce Efficiency Team"? The Click police?

Just wondering if there has a dedicated team to make the admin area prettier whilst increasing inefficiencies.  A team that spots a working area, notices that we only have to make one-click to start working, and then turns a 1-click process to a 5-click process to accomplish the same results.

Example:  We used to be able to go to create a product or duplicate, and edit the variants inside a table on the product screen.  Now we have to save the product, click on variant, wait for page load, add a SKU, save the variant, open the next variant, enter SKU and save, and so on.

I tend to measure efficiency in how many clicks needed to make a change.  Why would one ever want to increase the amount of clicking, loading and saving to achieve the same result?
