Is there a way to grant (or gift) a product to a certain group of customers?

I previously sold a product via SamCart and Kajabi. Thanks to the SkyPilot digital delivery app (which supports multiple digital downloads) I can now offer this product in my Shopify store. I would like to give the new Shopify product to the past buyers of the Kajabi version. 

The only way I have come up with is to send the owners of the Kajabi product a free discount code to add the product to their account, but I'd love to know if there is a better option.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
