Is there a way to Select which products show in the Featured Collection on Home Page?

I have the Featured Collection on my Home Page showing 4 products from one on my collections.

Is there a way to select exactly which products from a collection to showcase there?

It currently seems to be just a random selection made by Shopify , and not the best products from the collection have been selected 😞

What am I missing?

To change the products shown in the featured collection on the home page, please follow those steps: 

1. Go to your Products > Collection > Create a collection. 
On the collection creation page, you can select the way to add products as Automated or Manual. 
Select products to add to the collection. 

2. Go to your Online Store > Themes > Customize > Homepage > Featured collection > Change the collection > Select the collection you've created.

I followed both steps as illustrated, but after applying the collection switch, the only change I see are 4 shopify example products.
While there should be 8 manual selected products from my Top Producten collection

Apparenlty, the products in this collection did not receive the required authorisation to be sold by Online Shop, in the Sales Channels attribute that doesn't come with the import CSV template. For collections this seems to be a NO GO for appearance inside a collection, although the collection itself go clearance as Online Sales channel.

Unless I'm missing something, a problem with this solution is that if you enable the "view all" button at the bottom of the "featured products" section, that button will show the new "homepage" collection and nothing more. As the button is labeled "view all", this gives customers the poor impression that the homepage collection is all that's available.

EDIT: I found a partial solution: Shopify will choose the first n items in a collection as "featured." You can go to the collection, choose "manual sort," and sort it so your preferred products are the first n items. This will show your preferred products in "featured products," and allows the "view all" button to properly go to the entire collection. A drawback is that the collection page will now list products using the manual sort you did earlier, which may or may not be ideal.

All other ideas, including Shopify adding this as a real feature, are welcome.

Thanks, the manual sort works perfectly. I am fine with it being sorted that way in both the "Featured Collections" and actual Collections page.
