All things Shopify and commerce
I have recieved an email from "[email protected]" explaining we have 72hrs to provide proof of a trademark license. I am concerned that it came from a gmail address as I would assume it should come from @Shopify.com. I saw another post in the community with a similar email requesting money, but this one has not. There is a "reply yes for further steps" but I have not responded. I believe it is a scam but want to make sure Shopify does not actually require proof of a trademark license.
Shopify never sends emails via @GMAIL

Yes! I knew it! I just got an email like this too, and it almost looked legit at first until looked at the appearance of the email and things started to look off and I also saw the @gmail address and if you compare the way it looks to all past Shopify emails it so obvious it’s a scam. Glad I came here to check!
