Is This a Spoof? Request for Billing Payment

I've just received an email from a Mike Pace at Shopify with addy akmeo247 from a gmail account, with "Critical Warning" in the title, stating that my account will be closed by Black Friday no less, if I don't make a new payment in an amount that I never accrued.

 

Normally, I would send this to SPAM and consider it a spoof -- however, after the poorly designed Attestation letter which ended up being legit, I decided to ask here first.

This could be a phishing email, to be on the safe side forward the message to Shopify's safety inbox at safety@shopify.com.

Also, if you have doubts, you can contact merchant support, they'll confirm if there are any billing issues on the account.

This could be a phishing email, to be on the safe side forward the message to Shopify's safety inbox at safety@shopify.com.

Also, if you have doubts, you can contact merchant support, they'll confirm if there are any billing issues on the account.

OK, I've just heard back from Jay L. from the safety department (thank you, Jay) and it is indeed a phishing/spoof/fraudulent email.
