All things Shopify and commerce
Hi there
I received this email from maxsonfromshopify@gmail.com regarding my account that has been placed under review and will be closed in 5 days. I think it is spam but I want to make sure. If it is indeed real, what are my violations and what steps do I take? I would appreciate any support from Shopify to confirm since I have not been able to contact them in any way and do not want to click on the link in the email.
Thank you.

To second the comments shared by community user, @ThePixelEdge, you can rest assured these communications did not come from an official Shopify source. As such, you should treat such emails as you do other phishing attempts that seek to gain personal or identifiable information.
Phishing attempts typically ask you to do one of the following:
It's imperative that you take all the correct measures to protect your account and also report unauthorized senders by forwarding the mail to safety@shopify.com. To read more about protecting your account, I encourage you to check out our official security documentation.
Also, it's a good idea to follow best practices with securing your account such as changing any passwords or and scanning your computer from any infected links that may have been visited.
Warm regards,

HI @BirdCreations ,
This is a scam , dont fall for it the email address is a giveaway no shopify representative would use thier personal Gmail to communicate this with you and even a low grade scammer as they are taking you to probably a telegram link .
