Hi @Ann27

It sounds like the product price in Zendrop was higher then what you had the product listed for on the store. When dropshipping a product from a supplier, you need to ensure that your product price takes in the vendor pricing for the product. For example, if 40 bears were $265 then that would work out to about $6 per bear. That is a reasonable wholesale price for a dropshipped toy. Depending on the item you would want to add a markup to the vendor price so that you can make a profit.

Regardless of how you price the item on your store you will always have to pay the vendor for their unit price. You can sell the product for 9 cents, but that doesn't change how much you have to pay the vendor for the item.

So the product pricing I have done for almost my entires store probly needs to be reevaluated then? Cause a lot of my products I cut nearly in half. It seems like have lots of work to do! 😖 I have always been alittle confused on how to price. This is my first e-commerce store ever and I had to teach EVERYTHING that I know to my self. Thankyou very much for your help!

I can fully appreciate the difficult learning curve when it comes to setting up a brand new store! Kudos to you for teaching yourself so that you can get started. Shopify has a wide range of help docs, blogs and videos that can assist you along the way as you continue to build out your store.

I have a great blog here from Oberlo (our Aliexpress dropshipping tool) that goes over things to consider when pricing your products. You might find this really helpful: The Secret to Pricing Your Products in Ecommerce - Oberlo.

I also recommend checking out our Learn With Shopify Youtube channel, if you haven't seen it already: Learn With Shopify - YouTube.

I've had a consistently disappointing experience with ZenDrop to date. The customer service is poor, and the fulfilment standards are well below expectations. Multiple customer orders have needed to be refunded due to inconsistencies in product quality and colour. What’s not made clear upfront is that a single order may be fulfilled by multiple suppliers, leading to mismatched items arriving with the customer.

In cases where only part of the order is incorrect, ZenDrop will only refund the item that is wrong—even though the entire order has to be refunded to the customer, as it no longer meets their expectations. This leaves the seller to absorb the full cost of refunds, lost ad spend, and a damaged customer relationship.

The support team is extremely limited—I’ve spoken to the same few agents repeatedly—and unfortunately, they’ve offered little resolution or accountability. Even worse, some customers received items made from materials that didn’t match the product listing, suggesting there’s no quality assurance process in place.

Overall, the platform lacks transparency, reliability, and proper support. I would strongly recommend working directly with vetted AliExpress suppliers instead to avoid the added fees, poor communication, and lack of quality control that has come to define my experience with ZenDrop.
