All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone,
I've recently set up a colour swatch variant on my products, but i have noticed now that this has become the standard variant shown on the front end of all products. Products with size variants are no longer showing. When i try to add in another variant within the theme, there is no option too.
The variant picker was set to colour to allow the colour swatch needed for certain products, however this was done under the assumption i would be able to add multiple variant pickers for variants such as size etc.
Is there any way to add multiple variants to show on the front end? Everything within the back end is set up for multiple variants, i just can't get them to show on the site.
Many thanks
To display multiple variants, such as color and size, on the frontend, you'll need to customize your theme's product.liquid file. You can add multiple variant pickers by using Shopify's Liquid code. Specifically, you'll need to use the variant_picker snippet and specify the variant types you want to display. This will allow you to show both color and size variants on the product page.
let me know if there anything i can help you with.
Thanks
Thank you for your response,
This seems the preferred option to go down as I would like to avoid plugins if it can be done within the theme.
Is there a specific code I would need to use to add size as a variant?
Given the nature of the store, the only two variants that will be needed are size and colour.
Many thanks!
Hi @Richaus77
You can try Easify Product Options, a great app for products with multiple options like yours. It lets you add color swatches, dropdowns, buttons, checkboxes, and more, making it easy to show both color and size variants on your product page. The app is user-friendly and helps you customize your variant display without coding. Here's how it works:
This app is straightforward, and I believe it will work well for you. Reach out to Easify if you need any assistance! 😊
Thank you, I will look into this as a back up, at the moment I am looking to minimise plug in use if it can be done manually within the theme
