We are currently testing out google ads and are running google shopping and search ads at the same time. Im able to find the conversion/transaction for the shopping ads on Shopify to verify them but I'm unable to find the shopping ad conversion/transactions to verify them. It looks like the sales from the shopping ads were after someone clicked it then returned to our site 11-17 days later. I just want to figure out a way to verify these conversions/transactions on Shopify like how I can for the google shopping ads. When we look at the analytics in google ads they are reporting we have 33 conversions, but when I look at our Shopify it only says we have 14.
How we've been finding the info for the shopping ads is Analytics>Sales over time> Manage Filter> UTM Source = Google (or UTM Content= sag_organic, they always pull the same numbers). Then we will usually add order name to the column just so we can look at that transaction and check that it did come from one of our campaigns and not just a google result.

Go to Google Analytics > Campaigns > All Campaigns.
Or simply go to Google Ads, and view the individual campaign data.
How to do this on Shopify, I am not sure.
It sounds to me the conversion tracking is not correctly installed in Shopify, if you are counting double in Google Ads, it means either you have 2 tracking codes installed, or you have not enabled a system to avoid double tracking such as first_time_accessed
We thought it was the tracking as well, we are still looking into that. It doesn't look like the ad is double reporting sales, its more like its reporting sales from transactions I can't find. Out of our 3 products we are listing on google shopping ads, I can find every transaction/conversion for 2 of the ads but then one of the is reporting 6 conversions but I can only find 2. The other issue is now were are seeing sales come from the shopping ads we paused because of the attribution window. In theory would the conversion for those ads pop up under the same UTM that the google ads would pop up? I want to trust the data that I see in the google analytics campaign but the none of the numbers from google ads, google analytics, and Shopify match.
How do you enable First_time_accessed?

If you are using a non last click attribution model, yes getting conversions after the campaign is paused, is possible.
If you want to compare sales, I would compare Google Ads with Shopify. Do not compare Google Ads with Google Analytics. It will never be the same.
