All things Shopify and commerce
Linkpop by Shopify is not ready for primetime with the very basic problem that only 1 user can administer the Linkpop page.
They recommend the person to claim the Linkpop page should be the main admin, but then say that person should then do the Linkpop admin. I'm not a huge company and all my staff are family members, but even I would not be willing to hand out the main admin username/password to them just to administer a social media "link in bio". Indeed, Shopify should not put shop owners in that position.
Come on guys, security should be first and foremost. Linkpop is unusable for anyone who has more than one admin on their account or anyone who wants to outsource their social media.
Hi, @peginald.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your insights regarding Linkpop. Feedback is extremely important to us, therefor I have gone ahead and submitted your feedback to our developers for consideration.
In the meantime, security is definitely important to us! Therefor, we definitely do not recommend you provide login credentials to linkpop to all staff members. Instead, we recommend the Shopify Account Owner, or predominant user be the administrator to your business's Linkpop account.
Hi, @peginald.
Thank you for the continuous feedback! I definitely do not disagree with any of it. As mentioned, I will provide this to our developers for consideration.
This is still an important feature for us that we'd like to see updated. Please allow team members to access the admin-created Linkpop page(s).
Hey, @peginald & @OrdinaryBee!
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback on Linkpop!
It is correct in saying that only one person can manage and edit a Linkpop page and I can understand the blockers here when running your business!
Just to let you know, I have shared this feedback with our developer teams to review. The more feedback they receive from merchants, the more likely they are to consider adding new features that address these concerns.
Thanks again for this valuable feedback!

If the limitation is still there then, the reply by your AI assistant is wrong? Could you please clarify this?
Hi! I understand how this response from the virtual assistant chat might be confusing. To clarify, it is only possible for one person to have edit access for Linkpop. That might be a store owner or a staff member, but at this time, it will be limited to one person (whoever is registered as the administrator for the Linkpop page).
