Local Delivery allowing customers to order when items not in stock

Have set up local delivery, and everything works fine with post codes / locations etc - however, it unfortunately allows customers to select local delivery on any product, regardless of it being in stock or not.

On the shopify set up page it states "The delivery location has the inventory available to fulfill the entire order."

Has anyone else experienced this and know of a fix?
