Local pickup not working,

Hi, i've enabled local pickup but when I go to test purchase an item I get: "Your order isn't available for pickup. Enter a shipping address." 

 

Local delivery is working fine, any ideas what i can do to get this working?

It's hard to identify where the issue is without screenshots or seeing your store's local pickup settings. However, there are a few steps before enabling local pickup that needs review to ensure that the feature is set up properly. First, you'll want to double-check your Locations settings (Settings > Locations). If you have multiple locations, we'll want to make sure that your store has set up fulfillment priorities and have the pickup location enabled to fulfill online orders as well. After that, we'll need to make sure there are inventory assigned to this location

If the issue continues to persists, don't hesitate to let me know. Please share a couple of screenshots of your local pickup settings and I'd be happy to take a closer look!

Thank you so much, I created a 2nd location for my shop so that my physcial home address for my online store was not displaying to the public. When I created my "fictitious" display address I didn't stock quantities at this location and that was causing the error. Thank you so much for your assistance, it was resolved immediately using your suggestions!

Hi there

I am experiencing the same issue, however on my dashboard i dont have "fulfillment priority" as an option. Any reason why? 

I've lost out on a few customers already

Thank you for sharing the screenshot, that's extremely helpful!

It looks like you have two locations, which are both deactivated, so there won't be a fulfillment priority function at the moment. However, you can reactivate one of your locations or add a new location. Once you have more than 1 active location, the function will appear and you'll be able to set up the fulfillment priorities. I hope that will help prevent further loss of customers!

That being said, did you intend on disabling the two locations shown in your screenshot?

Hey @Elias 

Thanks it worked, i deactivated the other 2 locations temporarily until i get managing one correct

What i am trying to achieve, is to enable Local pickup. I followed the instructions in your first response,

I checked that there is inventory assigned to my location, however i still cannot get Local pickup to work. It tells my customers that "Your order isnt available for pickup"

Could you advise what i could do next?

I need help to please. I cannot get local pickup to work on the back end. It doesn't even show it as an option for me.

Yes I went through all the steps, the location is activated too but its still not appearing on the back end as an option.

Hi, 

I believe I've also followed all of the suggestions in previous replies and cannot get local pick to work. The pick up location is my home address, so I don't want it to always display. Could you take a look at my set up and see where I'm failing, please? I'd appreciate any help so much!

Same here. Same issue. Everything is setup the way it's supposed to. I used to have the pickup option and now it's gone. It forces customers to pay for shipping or they can't check out.

My pickup location is also my home, so I created a 2nd location for my store using a generic address (6500 vs 6519 Overton) and had to assign all my inventory to the new location and that was the only workaround I could come up with so that my home address wasnt plastered on the site.

Keep in mind, that the PU address in the email notification will say the generic address, so youll need to edit the PU notification email so that customers go to your direct address.

It sounds like local pickup is working; however, it's only showing the one with your home address?

The addresses in the Locations settings is for fulfillment purposes, such as setting up the priority of locations/inventory used when fulfilling online orders, so this may not remove the address from the local pickup for customers checking out. Instead, of you've added both addresses to your Locations, you can enable and/or disable the addresses from appearing for local pickup in your Shipping settings. It's important to note - If you have multiple locations enabled for local pickup, you'll also want to make sure that you have inventory assigned to each location

Based on my understanding, the local pickup was set up and working properly, but something might've changed since then?

In order to take a closer look and review your settings, can you share a screenshot of your Locations settings? Also, a screenshot of the Local pickup section from your Shipping settings?

Hi Elias,

I am having the same issue. At checkout there is a message that reads, "Your order isn't available for pickup. Enter a shipping address."

It looks like your Local pickup settings are correct; however, if you're using multiple locations, you'll also need to assign inventory to your locations. Since I'm not able to see your inventory, can you confirm if there's inventory stocked at the pickup location?
