All things Shopify and commerce
We have 4 locations, after importing a CSV file with all our products, I have to manually edit and make each product/variant available in all locations.
We can do a bulk edit but we carry 1500+ products and we have to constantly import all the items since we sync manually with another store. (please do not recommend a sync store app since all are super expensive)
I am wondering if there is a field that we can add to the CSV so that all imported products are available in all locations.
Thanks.

The product CSV does not support adding or updating locations. However; you can use the inventory CSV as it includes a location column. You can find more information on importing and exporting your inventory via CSV here.

Worked perfectly, I do have an issue with some variants named 9-10 (as in size) excel csv reads it as 9-oct. So I get an error on those fields and are not imported.
Other than that, Great suggestion and work around.
Thanks!
Hmm, that is strange. I've not come across that before but could be a decoding issue. If you're using Excel then it could be exporting the characters differently. You could try Google sheets or Pages instead. If none of those work, then I'd be happy to look into the file if you're able to provide access to it.

HI
apologies for jumping on this discussion but I have a similar issue where the inventory import solution won't work because we don't track the quantity of certain products. I need to set the stocked - at location but the only way to do this seems to be to import the inventory with a quantity at the desired location(s) and then go back and change all the products back to untracked.
Is there any way within shopify to export or import the locations where a product is stocked when they are untracked please?
Neither the product or inventory export/import templates work to do this.
Thanks, Alice
