I currently have a second shopify account that im locked out of. Its asking me to verify through two step authentication, its saying it sent a code to a phone number but I never added a phone number to the account. So when it sends the phone number it just says it send it to 000 - 000 - 0000. This is really stupid and I cant be the only person struggling with this, is there any way to get back into this account through authentication please.


And before you ask no, I do not have a recovery code or even know where to get one.

We’re not able to provide account-specific support via the community forums, the next best step is to contact Shopify Support via the Shopify Help Center so our team can look into disabling two-factor authentication for you. When contacting support, please ensure the account owner is making this request.

  • Navigate to the Shopify Help Center and select I don't have an account (as you're unable to log in at this time.)
  • Select Account > Logging in from the topics provided.
  • Scroll down to Get Support to view our available support options.
  • I recommend selecting the Live Chat option to connect with a member of our team.
