Mailing from supposed shopify agents. Is it a scam?

I have been receiving emails for a couple of months now from people who say they are shopify agents and want to offer me help to improve my shop. However, the email addresses are always gmail's domain and not shopify's and there is no shopify logo in the body of the email. Has this happened to anyone else? Are they really shopify agents?

Hi AnaRS.

It's spam.

Shopify provides its employees with a dedicated email host, so receiving emails from a gmail.com address is highly unusual and likely legitimate.

In the business world, it's not uncommon to receive unsolicited emails from individuals attempting to sell their services. If you're certain that you don't wish to engage with them, the best course of action would be to mark the email as spam. This will prevent any further follow-up emails from bothering you.

Best regards,

Appreciate it if you Like and Mark Solution. Thanks!

What does a Shopify partner email looks like? Which host do they use. Someone email me from a Gmail account. Even showed me a picture of a dashboard

My question is: how can we determine if someone contacting us from a Gmail account is an official Shopify partner? I'm unable to find these individuals in the Shopify Partner Directory using the names associated with the Gmail accounts, and they don’t provide a valid company name. Should we just ignore any communications from Gmail addresses claiming to be Shopify partners?   Example email below: from sender kendracatarina54@gmail.com

Dear Merchant,
The Shopify Revenue Support team has been reviewing merchant stores to identify opportunities for improvement. Our analysis of your store has revealed some potential setup issues that could be impacting your store's visibility and growth.
It appears these issues may have occurred during the initial setup process, possibly due to independent setup or guidance from someone unfamiliar with Shopify's best practices. As a result, your store may not be appearing prominently on key platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Ali Express, Jiji, and Shop More, limiting your reach to potential customers.
We strongly encourage you to address these issues immediately. Failure to do so could lead to your store being deranked, resulting in a significant loss of visibility and potential customers. Recovering from such a situation can be incredibly difficult.
We're committed to helping you achieve your full potential on Shopify. We are ready to provide guidance and support to reconfigure your store and ensure its proper functionality and visibility.
Please reply to this message at your earliest convenience to discuss the next steps.
Sincerely,
The Shopify Revenue Support Team

Good morning.
I need help. Someone collected money from me. On the grounds that they are
working with Shopify as a partner. They have access to my Shopify store.
The customization that the person should do is incomplete.. can you help me
with that?
