All things Shopify and commerce
I have designed my Shopify store to be the most mobile friendly possible as I believe the majority of my customers will use their mobiles to visit my store.
I am very happy with the layout and visual look of my store on mobile. However, there are some design issues that I do not like when it comes to my desktop layout. The main issue being the layout of the heading and subheading on my homepage hero slider images.
As you can see from image 1 below, currently the heading and subheading are placed within a large and bulky container, which covers the majority of my hero image!
If I choose not to show the container on desktop then the heading and subheading text disappears into the image - see image 2 below
My question therefore is whether it is possible to either change the colour of the heading and subheading (ONLY IN DESKTOP. NOT MOBILE) to white so that it stands out better against the hero images? Or is there anyway to customise exactly where the heading and subheading text sit within the hero images on the slider so that they do not interfere with the product images in the photos?
Remember, I want to make these changes ONLY to desktop version and NOT mobile. Whatever changes I make, I do not want them to carry over to my mobile view.
Another idea I had was to create an image using Canva where I position the heading and subheading into the photo and then upload that to my Shopify Store. But my issue with this idea is that it will then also be like that for my mobile version, which I do not want. Is there anyway to have different hero images for my slideshow for desktop and mobile?
Any instructions, tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
