We currently have a small grocery store that we sell milk at.
The milk is in glass jars and require a $3 bottle deposit.
And when someone brings in a bottle then we can issue them $3 back.
The problem lies is that they only way we can make it work is to setup a $3 discount. But you can only have 1 discount per transaction. And it messes with the accounting side of things.
Also if someone just brings in a bottle there is no way to give them $3 back unless they have another item they are purchasing.
Anyone can bring back bottles. they do not have to be purchased at my location. The supplier takes them back as long as they have their logo on them and they give me the $3.
So in order to do a return or refund they need to have an orginal order. And lots of times they dont. They aslo do not bring back the receipt so it would be a nightmare to find the order each time.
if anyone has any light of any solution i am open to listening.
Or a 3rd party app.
