All things Shopify and commerce
the title tag is completely wrong I have tried to change it in the preferences section a long time back but it’s still now working what to do?
Hi @DHRUVEN ,
When you update the title tag in Shopify (via Preferences or code), Google may take several days to a few weeks to reflect the change. The exact time frame depends on how frequently Google crawls your site and indexes its content.
Hi @DHRUVEN
May I know when you updated meta description and favicon icon? Since it might take about a few weeks or even months for Google to update the change.
Hi @DHRUVEN
We checked it from the code part and there is no problem with your setting:
You can follow the detailed guide here to submit to index the page again: https://www.conductor.com/academy/google-index/faq/submit-url/
I hope it can help. Thank you so much!
Hi @DHRUVEN,
Google may show a different SEO title and logo in search results due to its interpretation of what is most relevant or useful for users. This can happen if Google finds that the provided title or logo does not match the content or context of the page as expected.
To fix this on your Shopify site, you can:
Ensure Correct Titles and Meta Descriptions: Make sure your titles and meta descriptions are well-written, relevant, and include important keywords. You can edit these in Shopify by going to a specific page and opening the search engine listing preview.
Set Your Logo Correctly: You can use Yoast SEO for Shopify app to set your business name and logo. This information can be used by Google to feed the knowledge graph panel. You can find these settings in the Yoast SEO app under Search Appearance > Knowledge Graph & Schema.
Use Structured Data: Implement structured data correctly on your site to help Google understand your content better. This includes using valid WebSite structured data for sitelinks search boxes or Product structured data for product listings.
Verify Your Site with Google Search Console: Add your Shopify store to Google Search Console to monitor how Google views your site and make necessary adjustments.
For the specific "Product page" you can take to address this is to force Google to re-crawl a page (or more) using the “Request Indexing” feature. You can use this feature to force Google's index to update the information in search results. If that is the case, please follow the steps here: How to update information in Google search results.
Remember that Google Search Console is not real-time, and it can take some time for changes to be reflected in Google's index. Crawling and indexing can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

Hi @DHRUVEN
I have accessed your store URL and checked the meta title and meta description contents, which seem okay currently.
If you fail to find out the correct meta tags contents properly from the Search Result, maybe you can use the two ways to self-check the website and make it display correctly.
1. Check if the content of meta tags code in theme.liquid is all good. I have attached the original meta tags code below for your reference, please double check if it is the same as what you have on backend. If not, it should have been modified by other APPs and you need to correct them.
<title>
{{ page_title }}
{%- if current_tags %} – tagged "{{ current_tags | join: ', ' }}"{% endif -%}
{%- if current_page != 1 %} – Page {{ current_page }}{% endif -%}
{%- unless page_title contains shop.name %} – {{ shop.name }}{% endunless -%}
</title>
{% if page_description %}
<meta name="description" content="{{ page_description | escape }}">
{% endif %}
2. Check if you let Google know the updates or changes made on website properly. You can consider submitting the sitemap through Google Search Console and let Google index XML pages directly to help update the search results after waiting for some time. You can check this guideline I found from Google Search Central and it can help you understand the way precisely.
If you need further help about meta tags related issues, please feel free to install SEOAnt, and our APP Support Team can help you better check the website situation. Meanwhile, you can claim a 7-day Free Trial and 30% discount SEOAnt 30% Jeffery presently, give it a try!
