Missing value [shipping] in Google Merchant Center

I have no idea how to solve this - our google shopping ads are not running in 16 countries that include our top four highest driving countries (US, UK, Ireland and Spain).

I've spoken to google and to shopify several times and each person I speak with has a different solution that ends up making things worse (example: yesterday shopping ads were unapproved due to Missing value [shipping] in 9 countries, today it is 16).

I have set specific shipping metrics for each of these countries, making sure each uses its own currency. We ship based on spend with three tiers. It's super straight forward and not complicated. Everything looks in order, yet no changes have happened. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Hi @SarahBarney

Looking at your issue, I assume there might be a mismatch in shipping currency. You have mentioned that you have set up the shipping in their local currencies. Does the currency match with the currency on the landing page as well?

Also, you can check if the correct currency is being sent to the shipping settings in your google merchant center. You can click on Settings>>Shipping and Returns:

Thanks @sampymishra but all the countries listed as not approved are priced in their own currencies (USD for US, even Euro for Spain our own HOME market!)

If you are using the Google Channel, make sure to first disable automatic shipping, to avoid Shopify overwriting your Google Merchant Center settings.

Then in Google Merchant Center add your shipping rates using the same currency as you have submitted in the data feed. If you are using the free shopping channel app, that would be only 1 currency, not multiple as you indicated. The Google Channel app does not support multiple currencies which may be your issue.

And reprocess the feed. If you are using content API you can reprocess using the steps here: https://feedarmy.com/kb/how-to-reprocess-content-api-in-google-merchant-center/

If you want to use a data feed app that supports multiple currencies, then I recommend: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds

Hi, you said: "Then in Google Merchant Center add your shipping rates using the same currency as you have submitted in the data feed."  I set up the Content API feed from Shopify with several other countries.  I was getting errors saying I need to set up the shipping for each country, even though I have a main shipping setting for, I thought at least, all of the products.  I set up separate shipping settings for each country, but then got errors saying the currency has to be the same as the currency on my store (USD).  When setting up shipping for each country, it automatically defaults to the currency for that country, which is what I used and was getting errors on.  If I change each country's shipping setting to USD, even though the currency for that country is different, will the products show up in the country with the correct shipping currency, OR, will they show up with USD currency since that is the currency I chose?  I have looked everywhere and read all kinds of things on Google help but cannot find a specific answer to what seems like a simple question.  Thanks!

What you need to do, is check which currency for that specific country you have submitted. Then make sure the shipping rates are using that same exact currency.

I will not know what you have done. So check the feed and or product currency. Then add the shipping rates for that same exact country, using the same exact currency.

If it does not work, you have then other issues, or not added something correctly. You will not find any documentation on what to do, as what you need to do, depends on how you have setup the feed. Hence why you need to check your source feed.

@Relynjon Are you replying directly from AI, such as chatGPT. Because your reply contains irrelevant points.

I looked at your other replies, and I see the same pattern. I don't really see the point in your replies, as it is not helping the original poster.

Hello @SarahBarney,

This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

It sounds like you're facing a complex issue with your Google Shopping ads not running in several countries.

Here are some possible solutions that may help:

1. Check your Google Merchant Center account
Double-check your Merchant Center account to ensure that your product feed is properly set up and meets all of Google's policies and requirements. Make sure your shipping settings are accurate for each country you're targeting. Check that your account is not suspended, and all your products are approved.

2. Review your campaign settings
Check that your Google Shopping campaign settings are correct and set up to target the right countries. Ensure that your campaign budget is adequate and that your bidding strategy is appropriate for each country.

3. Reconsider your shipping options
Review your shipping options and pricing to ensure that they're competitive and reasonable for each of the countries you're targeting. You may want to consider offering free shipping or a lower shipping threshold to incentivize buyers.

Hope this helps

Gina

Same problem.

We spoke with both Google and Shopify (Google Merchant Channel) and they are pointing fingers at each other.  No solution until now.
