Mix n match samples

I have a candle store and I want to provide samples for my customers. I have a total of 12 scents but I want to allow them to choose a maximum of 6.  They can choose the options via a checkbox stopping at the maximum. Choices need to be seen in cart. Not interested in a bundle app or a high paying app. Any solutions.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some guidance with offering samples to customers, to get this resolved. As you're looking to provide customers with the option to select multiple samples, I would recommend checking out the Shopify App Store for available product option apps. 

For ease, I've gone ahead and suggested a few apps you can check out but can refer to the app store for a complete list:

Have you got any solution yet? I have kind of the same solution for you but for that, you have to create bundles as variants in your Shopify admin panel. 

Then using the  MultiVariants - Bulk Order app Mix & match feature you can apply restrictions in such a way that your customer will not be able to buy more or less than your provided restriction amount.

Along with this that MultiVariants - Bulk Order app also allows you to apply min/max order quantity, min/max order value, bundle quantity, incremental quantity, etc.

Here is a Demo Product. you can not click on “Add to cart” without selecting 12 variants and the button will not be going to work if you select more than 12 variants.
