Modify Dawn Theme code, open social media link in a new window

Hi, I would like to modify my theme to be able to open social media link in a new window. Can someone help me with that. I have Dawn Theme.

Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
Step 2: Sections->/footer.liquid-> Find "list-social__link" -> Add attribute target="_blank" to <a> tag:

I don't have ''list-social__link'' under ''footer.liquid'' section. 🤔

This is what I can find under ''footer.liquid'' that speak about social. media

Hi @JaneCout,

I had the same  "problem" and the solution from @PageFly-Richard worked fine for me, the only difference is that I had to edit the file
Snippets->social-icons.liquid
