More reached checkout than add to carts

For a couple of days now i've had more reached checkout than add to carts which makes no sense since i dont have the dynamic buy button on so customers have to click add to cart to even be able to reach the checkout.

I've also tried checking out myself and a lot of times shopify doesn't register the add to cart, it only register the reached checkout part.

What can be done about this?

If they've reached checkout it means they already passed by the add to cart stage.
