Multi Location Inventory and Fulfilment - Help Please!!

We currently have two brick and mortar locations and one online store that takes stock from either of these locations - depending upon where the stock is showing as available.

If a customer places an order for two items and one of the items is in Store One and the other item is in Store Two - how can we process the order without the stocks going negative in one location?

Also - how do we fulfil it from the two locations into one central point for courier collection - without two shipping/courier charges being applied?

Any ideas or workarounds are welcomed. Please let me have any ideas or thoughts on how this can be resolved!!

Are the stock levels separate in both locations? If so should only fulfil from each one so you wouldn't go negative.

If you can do stock transfers between locations then that might help in processing orders from one location when stock is split. You would probably need a consolidated pick slip each morning to work out which location has stock and what needs is split and needs transferring if possible.
