Multiples / Variants - Products

Hey there,

My client has 6 products with a few of them offering multiples at discounted rates.
(you can choose to purchase 1,3,6 or 12)

This particular product (250g Beef Bone Broth) has 5000 available.

But because I've setup 'variants' (1, 3, 6, 12) I don't know how to manage the inventory?
If I put 5000 available in '1', then '3, 6, 12' say they're 'Out of Stock'.

I spoke to a digital marketing person and they advised to split up the 5000 inventory across the 4 x options (for example 3000 available if you want to purchase 1, 1100 available if you want to purchase 3, 700 available if you want to purchase 6 and 200 available if you want to purchase 12.

I know I'm doing something wrong, as this sounds ludicrous to me.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to manage the inventory for different quantities (1, 3, 6, 12) without manually splitting the stock is to use a bundle app. These apps allow you to create bundles from the same product while managing a single inventory count. You can find the app that suits you on the Shopify app store.

If you prefer not to use an app, you can use a single product listing with a quantity selector and offer automatic discounts based on the quantity purchased instead of creating separate variants for each quantity (1, 3, 6, 12). However, with this method, you need to promote it to your customers, for example, using product labels to highlight the discount.

The Easify Inventory Sync app is a great solution for managing your inventory issues 😊. It helps you sync inventory across different product variants effortlessly. You can set up your "1" variant as the base product for tracking inventory and then create groups with:

• "1" and "3"
• "1" and "6"
• "1" and "12"

This way, the total inventory of "1" (e.g., 5000) will automatically determine the available quantities of "3", "6", and "12" (e.g., 1666, 833, 416).

Whenever "1" is purchased, the quantities of "3", "6", and "12" will be adjusted accordingly. If a "3" variant is bought, the quantity of "1" will be reduced by 3, and the quantities of "6" and "12" will be recalculated based on the new amount of "1." The same adjustments happen when "6" or "12" are purchased.
